ABOUT TSL
Thompson Shipping Lines (TSL) is a pure vessel ownership company established in 2018 by Seacorp's Owner and Managing Director, Craig Thompson.
TSL commenced operations following the acquisition of MV “TSL ROSEMARY”, a 2012 Japanese built general bulk carrier of 33,191 DWT, and has since expanded its fleet with the addition of MV TSL LUSAHA, a 35,947 DWT Japanese built dry bulk carrier.
Our vision is to acquire modern, quality built second-hand dry bulk vessels at competitive prices and market them to reputable counterparties on medium to long-term employment contracts.
We have strategically focused on the Handysize segment for both current and future acquisitions for several key reasons:

-
Historically the most stable sector of the dry bulk shipping market;
-
Versatility and cargo optionality accessible through the vessel sizes and specifications;
-
The only sector to experience negative growth in recent years;
-
Limited availability of newbuild slots, at quality shipyards; and
-
Relative discount of five-year-old unit versus newbuild contracts being c.40%
TSL’s objective is to cement its position as a niche provider of quality tonnage in the Handysize sector in the medium to long term, with continued ambitions to expand the fleet through disciplined acquisitions.
